BADGE 46 (RAILWAY)

Railroad

This is a screw back badge, with the symbolic logo of the railway workers of the Soviet Union; the red star adorned with a hammer and wrench – the tools of the trade.

During the era of the USSR, the state run Soviet Railway was the largest unified rail network in the world, and vastly improved transport links and industrial occupations within the sector. Soviet Academy’s even trained workers to be a part of this rapidly expanding system, and it became a source of great pride within Soviet society with the rail network contributing to so much social and economic growth in this developing nation.
